This isn't urgent or anything, but can you guys please be praying for my fam and I right now? My parents are talking to my guidance councellor soon to talk to them about me possibly skipping my sophomore year of high school. I really want to do that because I'm so far ahead and I'm making 100% on everything in every class. Just pray that my parents have wisdom to make the right decision and that I can handle it if I do get to skip. Thanks.

Thanks. I'm still worried, though. My dad's stupid. He says I should stay at my grade level to keep a perfect GPA even though it's boring, so I don't know if he'll let me.. Plus, I don't know if I can pass, either.

Well you GPA will stay what it is regardless of whether or not you move up a grade or not. Don't worry about that. I'll be praying that your parents will understand the honor of the movement that you could be taking.

My GPA will go down if I make lower grades after I move up, and that's what my dad doesn't want. He wants me to be bored to death so I can get a schollarship and he doesn't have to pay for college. He told me that yesterday.

Well, that's a retarded reason for not giving you a challenge. If you're bored in your classes, than chances are tat you need to be challenged and your not getting that. Yes is is going to be a little harder for you but that is what you need. Just tell him, if I can easily keep up my grades at the level that I am, why do you think that I will fail with a little bit of a challenge?" Its a fair enough question.

Ugh. Asking that will start another lecture on how the work is harder and I'll have to try harder and I'll make B's and C's rather than straight A's and I won't get a schollarship. That's all he cares about. But God has been speaking to me lately and I feel that this is what I need to do, and I know that I can do it and still keep high grades. I'll get his precious schollarship. And if not, I'll pay for it myself. I save my money. I get more than he does. I'll just pay for it myself if it makes him happy, but I'm bored with school. I hate going because it makes me feel like they think I'm stupid for saying all of these things I already know and making me do all these worksheets on stuff I've mastered for about a year. If I'm not challenged, I'm afraid I'll stop caring. And then what? Faling because it's too easy.

Yup. That is generally what happens. You get bored, stop caring, stop paying attention because there is on need to pay attention to something that you already know, then your grades turn into ash....no pun intended.

If only I turned 16 instead of 15 this year... *sigh* I am so tempted to get emancipated next year and just move out and finish school on my own.

That's always an option. Just make sure that all your affairs are in order before you (i.e. place to stay, food, clothing, etc.)

I hope that everything goes well for you and that you will ascertain God's divine plan for your life. Wink

I'll be praying.
